Family-owned appliance repair, working Encino since 2009.
Encino is where this business cut its teeth. The Encino Park ranch homes were Ben’s first regular accounts, and many of those original customers are still on our books — second and third refrigerators, kitchen remodels, now their grandkids’ starter homes. We know this town.
A few things particular to Encino service:
Encino Park has a generation of aging laundry pairs. Lots of 1995–2005 Whirlpool, Maytag, and Frigidaire washer/dryer pairs that hit the magic year-15 mark. We’re not pushy about replacement — a Speed Queen-built Maytag from 2002 with a $260 transmission swap is a fine investment. We’ll tell you when it isn’t.
South-of-the-Boulevard kitchens were remodeled twice. The Encino Hills estates often had a 1990s remodel and a 2010s refresh. That means weird mixed-era appliances — a 1996 Sub-Zero next to a 2018 Wolf range, or a 2008 Bosch dishwasher in a 2020 cabinet. Both eras have parts. We handle the mismatched-era diagnostics.
Hayvenhurst condos are a stackable specialty. A lot of Encino condos have stackable laundry crammed into hallway closets. We bring the low-clearance dolly. We know the buildings (the Carillon, Encino Oaks, the Encino Towers) and which ones need elevator pads.
The 405 is a planning problem. Most calls north of Ventura we hit between 9 and 11 AM. South of the Boulevard, we go after 1 PM to avoid the school traffic. Tell us where you are and we’ll book you in the right window.
What we see most in 91316 and 91436
Three calls cluster heavily in Encino:
- GE Profile french-door fridge defrost-drain freeze-up (a known issue on 2014–2018 models — we have the drain-heater clip on every truck)
- Whirlpool Cabrio top-load tub-bearing rumble at year 8–10 (a fix worth doing on these specific models)
- Sub-Zero column gasket failure in homes with vacation-rental dual occupancy — gaskets get cycled hard and fail at year 10
We carry parts for all three.
Encino regulars
If you’ve had us before, you’ll get the same tech back when you call again. We track who serviced what, when, and what we noticed during the visit. That’s how we caught the slow inlet-valve drip on a Hayvenhurst customer’s dishwasher before it became a flood. Continuity is the family-owned advantage.
